074. PERFECT PRINTS: JOSH GOOT S/S 2012/13

Prints are the trend which is very hard for me to cotton to. Usually they seem to be kitsch or beated because at last they show up in designers' collections evert year ("Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.") Since brilliant prints in Givenchy collection for last winter nothing has caught my attention as these showed by Josh Goot (yep, again australian fashion). Designer superbly put colorful floral patterns on his outfits giving them fresh look but still keeping accustomed for himself minimalistic style. For me, it came out perfectly.

Printy są trendem do którego bardzo ciężko mi się przekonać. Często wydają mi się kiczowate lub oklepane bo koniec końców pojawiają się w kolekcjach projektantów co roku ("Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking"). Od czasów genialnych printów Givenchy z kolekcji na ubiegłą zimę nic nie przykuło mojej uwagi tak jak te u Josha Goota (tak, znów australijska moda). Projektant świetnie umieścił kolorowe kwiatowe wzory na swoich strojach nadając im świeżości zachowując jednocześnie charekterystyczny dla siebie minimalistyczny styl. Jak dla mnie wyszło idealnie.

072. CHRISTOPHER ESBER S/S 2012/13

In early May there was awaited by me australian fashion week. Presented collections just assured me about potential and professionalism of australian designers. My favourite happened to be Christopher Esber's show for local S/S 2012/13. I fell in love with simple forms, great fabrics, minimalistic coloristic, and very subtle accessories. Here, some of my favourite projects:

Na początku maja odbył się wyczekiwany przeze mnie australijski fashion week. Zaprezentowane na nim kolekcje tylko upewniły mnie o potencjale i profesjonalizmie australijskich projektantów. Moim faworytem był pokaz linii Christophera Esbera na tamtejsze S/S 2012/13. Zakochałam się w prostych fasonach, świetnych tkaninach, minimalistycznej kolorystyce i bardzo delikatnych dodatkach. Moje ulubione projekty:

065. AUSTRALIAN FASHION: DESIGNERS

This post I dedicate to all of you, who connect Australia mostly with kangaroos, surfing and aborigens...

I must admit, I've always been little curious about "mysterious Land Down Under" (I didn't had chance to visit yet), but mostly from geografic and cultural side. When I recently saw at one of fashion sites that Sydney Fashion Week starts by the end of April I realised that I don't really know too much about this country especially about what it has to do with fashion. Now after an hour of research I pay tribute to australian fashion designers, who won my heart and have extreamly big potential.

I won't expatiate, because I subscribe to a theory that in case of fashion there is a predomination of picture over a word, but it's worth remembering that in Austarlia they have reverted seasons (according to for ex.polish) what required from me a second of consideration when I saw collections for summer 11/12 :). I pick for you some parts of my favourite collections of australian designers for F/W 2012 (I mean for our S/S):

Ten post dedykuję wszystkim wam, którzy kojarzą Australię głównie z kangurów, surfingu i aborygenów...

Muszę przyznać, że zawsze byłam trochę ciekawa "tajemniczego kraju gdzie ludzie chodzą do góry nogami" (którego nie miałam jak na razie szansy odwiedzić), ale głównie od strony geograficznej czy kulturowej. Kiedy zobaczyłam ostatnio na jednej ze stron poświęconych modzie, że pod koniec kwietnia odbędzie się Sydney Fashion Week, zdałam sobie sprawę z tego, że nie wiem zbyt dużo o tym państwie szczególnie o tym co ma wspólnego z modą. Teraz po godzinnych przeszukiwaniach internetu składam hołd australijskim projektantom, którzy podbili moje serce i mają wyjątkowo wielki potencjał. 

Nie planuję się rozpisywać, bo wyznaję zasadę, że w przypadku mody istnieje pewnego rodzaju wyższość obrazu nad słowem, ale warto pamiętać o tym, że w Australii pory roku są zupełnie odwrotne niż u nas, co początkowo wymagało w moim przypadku sekundki zastanowienia kiedy zobaczyłam kolekcje na lato 11/12 :).
