025. PRE-FALL ROUND UP

Mimo, że nie skończył się jeszcze FW 2011, wcale nie przeszkadza mi to w przeglądaniu zapowiedzi trendów na następną jesień. Wybrałam po kilka looków z 12 domów mody i, niestety, większość jest dość nudna. Jest parę ciekawych pomysłów ale mam przykre wrażenie, że to nic nowego.

The fact that the FW 2011 is not over yet, doesn't really prevent me from watching previews of trends for the next autumn. I chosed some looks from 12 fashion brands, and unfortunately the most of it's kind of boring. There is some interesting ideas, but I feel like it is nothing new.

1. 3.1 Phillip Lim
comics inspired, colors: mostly black&white, length: around knees

2. Burberry Prorsum
basically the same as always, marked waist, length: longer than to the knee

 3. Calvin Klein
marked waist, length: to the knee
(by the way: mainly soooo boring but the 2 pic... nice!)

4. Chanel
India and Gypsies(?), colors: black, white, gold (normal for Chanel) but also pink, length: knee and ankles
(some of it was a bit shock for me, also that Karl did 79 looks!)

long gloves and socks, '60 inspired

waist, colors: dark, length: to the knee

7. Missoni
waist, socks, colors: violet, brown,
(nothing new, I think, but worse)

(not bad, especially the 1 pic)

'60, suit pants

10. Reed Krakoff
long gloves, geometry, length: to the knee
(I really like this! Sleeves at the 1st picture - awesome)

long gloves and socks, shorts, colors: black
(nice, nice, nice!)

Długie rękawiczki i podkolanówki? Zdecydowanie za! Zwłaszcza w wydaniu Very Wang i Reed Krakoff, choć kolekcja Jasona Wu też bardzo mi się podoba. Reszta nie powala. Widzicie siebie za rok w czymś podobnym?

Long gloves and socks? So YES! Especially in Wang and Krakoff way, but I also like Jason Wu's collection very much. The rest of pre-fall isn't that great. Can you see yourself next year wearing something like these?

019. MODEL/ACTRESS, PLEASE PICK ONE!

Dzisiaj króciutko, ale treściwie. Śledząc kariery naszych polskich modelek, nie mogę ukryć, że rozpiera mnie narodowa duma. Polski radzą sobie świetnie. Zaczynając od Anji Rubik, aż po świeże twarze jak np. Maja Salamon. Za równo na wybiegach jak i na sesjach dziewczyny reprezentują wysoki poziom modelingu. Każdy jednak, kto osiąga wymarzone cele, za chwilę pragnie sięgnąć po więcej. W przypadku polskich modelek, kolejnym punktem na liście jest aktorstwo. Moja jedyna reakcja to "Ratunku! Dlaczego nie wspinaczka górska czy kajakarstwo?". Pomijając to jak bardzo im dopinguję, to muszę przyznać, że praca aktorki jest ostatnią rzeczą, której powinny się podejmować. Zaczęło się, gdy zobaczyłam Magdę Frąckowiak w "La Lettre" reżyserii Karla Lagerfelda, a ostatnio obejrzałam fragment "Bez Tajemnic" z Małgosią Belą i upewniłam się, że Frąckowiak to nie był jedyny fatalny wyjątek. No i jeszcze nasze "rising stars" z Top Model. Może osiągając tak wielki sukces, człowiek zaczyna myśleć, że potrafi wszystko? Poniższe filmiki to dowód na to, że modelka nigdy nie będzie tym samym co aktorka bez względu na to jak dobrze wygląda...

Today shortly, but succintly. Following our polish models careers, I can't hide, that I'm full of kind of nationall pride. Polish girls are really great in their stuff. Starting from Anja Rubik, till fresh faces like Maja Salamon. Both on runways or on photoshoots, they represent high modeling level. Yet, everyone who tops out, wants to reach something more. In case of polish models, next point on the checklist is acting. My only reaction is "Help! Why not climbing or canoeing?". Despite of how much I root for them, I must admit that actress job is the last one they should try. It started when I saw Magda Frąckowiak in "La Lettre" filmed by Karl Lagerfeld. Few days ago I've seen a part of polish series "Bez Tajemnic" (could be translated as "Without Secrets") with Małgosia Bela i got sure that Frąckowiak wasn't the only fatal exception. And there are also our "rising stars" from Top Model. Maybe by reaching a huge success, people start to think they can do everything? These videos are a proof, that a model will never be the same as an actress regardless of how good she looks...

018. FRESH FACE FOR TODAY IS... ANNA KLARA PALMER

Zobaczyłam ją po raz pierwszy parę tygodni temu i nie mogłam przestać o niej myśleć, taką twarz ciężko wyrzucić z pamięci. Anna Klara (elite) może się póki co poszczycić jedną sesją, naturalne, proste ujęcia (Johanna Nyholm) i stylizacje (Ellen PN) dodają jej jednocześnie swobody (trochę girl next door) jak i uwodzicielskiego uroku. Niby typowa, niewinno-łóżkowa sesja ale ta dziewczyna ma w twarzy coś hipnotyzującego, mam przeczucie, że za jakiś czas będzie o niej głośno.

I saw her for the first time a couple of weeks ago and i can't stop thinking about her, it's hard to forget a face like that. Anna Klara (elite) did one session yet, casual, simple captures (Johanna Nyholm) and styling (Ellen PN) give latitude (kind of 'the girl next door' style) and seductive charm, at the same time. Kind of a typical 'innocent in bed' session but this girl has such a hypnotising face, I've a feeling that it'll be loud about her in some time.

017. THE BEST OF: MODEL STREET STYLE

Większość artystów, projektantów przyznaje się do tego, że czerpią inspirację z ulicy. Słusznie. Ulice wielkich miast, to zbiorowisko rozmaitych osobowości, oryginalnych połączeń i wzorowych stylizacji. Największy wysyp ciekawych kreacji następuje podczas fashion weeków, a wtedy głównym obiektem poszukiwań fotografów mody ulicznej stają się modelki. Wiele z tych dziewczyn obcując z modą na co dzień wyrabia sobie świetne poczucie stylu i smaku. Reprezentują minimalistyczne połączenia, które wyjątkowo przypadają mi do gustu, za każdym razem kiedy zaglądam na moje ulubione street style'owe strony. Kilka moich ulubionych stylizacji:

Most of the artists, fashion designers agree that they get out inspirations streight from the streets. Correct. Streets of big cities are a gathering of various personalities, original combinations and perfect stylings. The bigest agregation of interesting outfits we can observe durring fashion weeks, and then, main subject of street fashion photographer's serching are models. Most of these girls created theirselves great taste of style by facing and working with fashion everyday. They represent minimalistic conjunctions, which really fancy everytime I check out my favourite steet style websites. Here are some of my favourite stylings:
